Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It is difficult to predict how soon a frontal lobe injury will take to heal. This lobe is associated with mood and memory. Thus any damage to this lobe can lead to long term memory loss, mood swings, talking too much, and energy bursts leading to over activity. Long term complication is chance of schizophrenia. If you notice any such symptoms, report to the doctor immediately. Take care!
They are not going to touch the frontal lobe, never fear. I had surgery via my nose (my left nostril in fact!) for my pituitary. There are a couple of people in the brain/pituitary area with CSF leaks as they happen. I leaked for a while after surgery. Your doc should be going in via the nose - no scars - and patch you up there. Has lying flat or coffee or anything helped?
