Head injury and CT scan

Hi,

I injured my head this morning by hitting it hard on a wall. Went to the ER and got a CT scan, which was clear. Does that rule out anything serious?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I have anxiety disorder and I sometimes get nausea from that. Is there any way of knowing if the nausea is head injury related versus anxiety related? Thanks!

Generally yes, but not always. Keep on the lookout for symptoms specifically nausea, and keep your physician informed. An MRI is less dangerous and more appropriate than a CT, but sometimes an MRI is not available and the risk/benefit decision favors a CT.
