It is wise to fast with any dye contrast procedure because on rare occasions there are reactions to the dye. These reactions sometimes involve vomiting, and if you are supine in the machine it can cause compromise of the airway before they can fix the situation up. Thus the reasoning is, keep the stomach clear of food.
This is true for any dye injection procedure, whether with a CT or an MRA.

NO, there is no food restriction. You can eat as usual. In special cases there are food restrictions and generally the person who does the bookings informs you in advance. In usual cases there is no restrictions.
