Peripheral neropathy

I am having peripheral neuropathy in feet as well as atrial fibrillation for which the doctor has prescribed Venlafaxine 75mg/d and Acitrom 2mg one daily and 1mg on 2days in a week.When can I stop taking these drugs how?

The venlaflaxine can probably be discontinued whenever you want to.

I am curious as to why the acitrom was prescribed.

I don't like either medication.

If you have a clotting disorder the acitrom may be appropriate, but aspirin and 1000 mg of omega-3 supplements will probably accomplish just as much.

If the intent was to promote circulation in your feet, I would think twice. The manufacturer of this drug spends a lot of money to promote it.

Atrial fibrillation is often resolved by magnesium supplements.

There are a lot of missing pieces in your patient history.

I suspect the peripheral neuropathy is ob diabetic etiology and you aren't providing a list of all your medications.

it looks like you are bored of taking these medicines. How and when to stop drugs like these depends on your doctor who has started these medicines.
So it's best advisable to meet him and discuss the future of the treatment.
