Hi, in the spring of 2006 i was thought to have had a brain tumor behind my sinus cavity. After see a very good doctor at hershey medical center in hershey, pa he did see a mass in that area. What alarted that there was something wrong was a pain in my right eye and continuous thumping near my right ear. they entered my head via my noise to reach the mass. once inside they found a functioning part of my brain. they removed some tissue that was pressing on my optical nerve.
The symptoms that i'm having now is a soreness to the right side upper head area of my scalp. when i rub my hand over that area it feels sore just under the skin. The problem is that everything i have a little pain in my head i think that there is something major wrong again. the pain or soreness almost appears to be sometype of nerve pain. For the last two nights it has woke me up from my sleep. My neck has been an issue since high school due to playing sports. does anyone have any idea what it is? I think it might be some nerve from my neck....but you never know. thanks
Hi,
How are you? One differential could be a tension headache. However, have your blood pressure checked also to rule out hypotension which also presents with dizziness and vision changes. With regards to your migraine headaches, it is important to determine the triggers to prevent further occurrences. If it persists, have this evaluated by your doctor for proper management. Your medical history and physical examination will help determine the underlying cause. Take care and best regards.
