Without examining the implant and probably the shunt that was placed earlier, and accessing the degree of damage and reconstruction and adjustment, it is very difficult to say whether the implant can fit as per the original skull contour or not. At times there is a perfect fit. At times the line of injury is such that it is really difficult to get a perfect fit. Hence you need to discuss this with your treating doctor. If need be you can take an opinion from another neurosurgeon who can examine you. Take care!
