pain on the left back side of my head.

i suffer from mirgaines ever since i had meningitis and a 2nd infection of Encephalitis 2 yrs ago, im on tablets to control my headaches as they wake me up from sleeping, i suffer with ringing in my ears, i have to waer glasses as i went partially blind due the swelling at the backs of my eyes, my right arm n leg some times goes numb still too as i lost the feeling in them when i was ill and for the last 2 wks i have a pain on the left side of the back of my head, its a small lump near the boney part of your lower head thats tender to touch it,even laying on that side hurts.  i havent fallen or knocked my head. what can it be?

thank you for your comment, my doctor is refering me back to the hospital to see my neurologist, the pain has nearly gone but there is still the llump there, so not sure what it could be, still get headaches. when i get my appointment i will post nad let u know how i get on.

Please consult a neurologist to rule out benign intracranial hypertension. The soft painful mass can be an abscess, or infected cyst. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
