Sharp pain deep to my right eye.

I woke up today with a pain deep behind my right eye. I'm a 29 year old physically active health conscious female. I have had an upper respiratory cold for a few days now. My sinuses have not been bothering me. I eat healthy, I drink lots of water and I exercise regularly. I would normally not be concerned as my headaches or head pains go away rather quickly. Today however my head pain has been off and on all day long. It's not constant, it comes and goes. It's not as painful as a migraine, it's more or less annoying. I do not get headaches often. I usually know my body very well, this is worrying me more than anything, which I'm sure isn't helping. I'm in college and have been stressed about school. If and when I get headaches from stress they have not felt like this yet. I have not hit my head. Has anyone had the same symptoms?

I agree with Caregiver. Eye pain should be taken seriously. The pain in the eye can be due to ocular or ophthalmic migraine, glaucoma, stye, sinusitis, eye infections, eye strain as is seen in refractive errors (if you cannot see properly and need spectacles). In your case it could be migraine or a refractive error. Please consult an eye specialist. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage

Pain beneath the eye is something that should be addressed with an immediate emergency room visit. It is nothing to fool around with. The etilogy could be a sinus infection, but pain is also the presentation of an aneurysm.  Differential diagnosis is often not that easy. An MRI is commonly ordered with dye contrast. You need someone who has an M.D. degree to evaluate the situation.
