Ok, now I am pissed off, now I will get a Lawyer.
PS, this is my life at stake here, the doctor who did the surgery is only suffering from a botched surgery. What gives that a doctor would lie and cover up a mistake and not put a critical piece of the surgery into the records??? Further more, why would a doctor not tell the recovery room anesthesiologist that I just came out of respritory arrest and then order him to give me Valium and 160 mg of Oxycontin, isn't that like trying to kill someone?
Thank you both for your response's. I have been totally abandoned by the doctor who did the surgery, he sent me a letter releasing me from his care due to non trust because we asked him critical questions as to what happened during surgery and he refused to answer any of them. Every time I go to a doctor the first thing they ask is if I am suing the doctor who did the surgery, I tell them what does that have to do with anything, I just want to get fixed. They respond with " we will only treat you and not find out what caused this". I thought before you could treat someone you had to find out what caused the problem in the first place??? What is wrong with medical care these days? If someone screwed up, for whatever reason, there should be some accountability. NOT telling the patient or other doctors what went wrong or what happened during surgery to help the recovery of a patient, because someones ego or fear of a law suit, is criminal in and of itself.
Hi,
There is a good chance that there was some nerve injury which can occur during spinal surgeries. I would suggest you schedule an appointment with an experienced neurologist and undergo a complete neurological evaluation
Hi.
There can indeed be some nerve damage during the surgery, and this situation is not uncommon and can really happen. The nerves controlling the bowels may be the ones injured which is the vagus nerve. Other factors around the surgery may also be involved including the anesthesia and other medications used. It is indeed very hard to ascertain the cause to this. A consult with a neurologist may be in order and recommended.
Regards.
