For one thing you have no reason to feel quilty!!!!!  If he had one shock from TN he would be begging for your forgiveness.
Wow, I don't want to say anything about your marriage since I'm not an expert.  You do need to talk to a specialist to tell them everything and they can help you through this terrible time.
Just talking woman to woman and one who suffers from TN if my spouse walked out on me because of the terrible pain that was no fault of mine I'm sorry sweetie I would tell him where to go in no uncertain terms.  I'm sure a lot of people that suffer would agree.
I hope you have a good support system with family and friends.  There are people here who can help so if you need to vent send me a message and talk as much as you want to.
I will be praying for you...take care and remember you should have NO guilt.

i am suffering from bi laterial tn, and since u are suffering from it u know how dreadful life can be when one finds out that he is suffering on both sides of face.

this disease is known to have spontanious remission from pain, some time lasting for years. but it does return for a few months and than again remmission follows,  so please do not give up hope, remission may just be around.  beside u can consult the nuro and can take tegretol under his advise, when u combine with other anti convulsand drugs like neurontin or dilantin it works even better to control the pain.

remember, this disease is brought on by continuous sstress and anxiety lasting for weeks, though no know cause is found yet, i by my experience feel certain that constant worry over a period of time can onset this disease, other possible cause is tooth extraction which causes injury to the trigeminal nerve root.

as for your boy friend leaving you because of your pain, please understand he was not worth.  if he comes back just kick him out.  as this was the time when u needed him most.

I am sorry to hear about your boyfriend.  TN is a very difficult disease and can weigh heavily on the family.  I hope that you have a doctor who's working with you to get good treatment.
