+ OPK on CD 15..Very confused

So we've been TTC baby#2 for 8 cycles now...I've only used an OPK 2x during my ttc process...My question is, do the OPK's predict ovulation 24-48 hrs BEFORE I actually ovulate? I just got a + today. Does that mean I'm ovulating today or will I ovulate sometime tomorrow or Wednesday?...I'm soooo confused. If anyone has experience with OPK's, I'd really like to hear from you.. Thanks in advance:-)

If you follow the SMEP plan, the plan states to BD for 3 straight days when you find your +OPK. After 3 days, skip a day. The 3 days is so you don't miss the window of opportunity, sort to speak. Good luck!

Spoke with the Cust serv on the box and was advised to BD today and tomorrow. The kit I bought predicts ovulation 24 to 48hrs in advance. (It was a CVS store brand comparable to clear blue easy) So as long as we BD today and tomorrow, it "should" work.. (I stress the SHOULD b/c we all know it's hard work to catch that egg....lol)  Ugggh poor Jason (DH) I've made him (well not MADE him cus he was very willing..lol) BD almost everyday. I gotta be creative tonight so it doesn't look like we HAVE to..lol...I'm not even going to mention the + OPK (unless I get shot down..hehee. Then I know he will..Guilt is a bi*tch..lol

Thank you for your response Mini:) The one I bought is a CVS brand. It came with 7 tests. Supposedly you can compare it to clear blue easy ovulation test. (That's what it says on the box..It also says "Predicts ovulation 24-48hrs in advance"...So you think 3 days more of BD starting from today? I'm sorry for the ?'s. I just want to have a clear understanding...Thanks again!

I am told that the ovulation window is 12-36 hours AFTER u get your positive. But follow your opk's instructions. Start bd right away, ideally for at least 3 days.
