ovulation stimulation or natural- opinions

Hi girls.  Happy New Year!

I was wondering if anyone had any input on using Clomid or Femara versus getting preg naturally.

I am 39 y/o, ttc my first child, 4 m/c in two years.  The first two pregnancies were natural and lost around 6 and 5 weeks.  Then I started going to my RE.  He put me on 2mg extra folic acid, 50mg levothyroxin for a slight thryoid issue, and baby asiprin plus progesterone suppositories.  First round, pregnancy m/c around 4 1/2 weeks.  Then we decided to try Clomid along with all this other stuff plus HCG injections to trigger ovulation and then support the pregnancy, so three injections of HCG in total.  First round, pregnancy m/c around 5 weeks.

Two more rounds of that I didn't get pregnant.  Switched to Femara.  First round didn't get preg.  Currently on my second round w/ Femara.

My question is-  we really seemed to get preg much much much easier without clomid or femara.  On the first or second try.  Now, it appears I'm having trouble getting preg at all.  I don't know if that is weird???  My RE doesn't think iui or ivf or ivf w/ pgd would help because I have very regular periods and always o on my own.  So he wants to do minimal o stimulation.

P.S.  I seem to respond well on the meds.  Producing lead follicles ranging from 18 to 24.  It just appears that now for some reason I cannot get preg in the first place.

Anyway, any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.  I just wanted to brainstorm a little.  Good luck to everyone!  Baby Dust To All :)   Kris.

Thanks.  No, I do not have PCOS.  The idea behind Clomid or Femara for me is to ovulate more than one egg, giving me more chances that one of them will be "good" and it will get fertilized.

I posted something before about Unicorn Root. Do you have PCOS? I'm not in this kind of situation so I don't know much about it but my opinion is that naturally is always better!!
Good luck hun....I hope you don't have to wait too much longer.
