3 stone weight loss in 4 months?

hi, i friend of mine has lost 3 stone in 4 months.she was in hospital due to dehidration afew weeks back and they couldnt find anything wrong with except maybe a she cant handle dairy foods. she gets very tierd and has diaharrea( THINK THATS HOW YOU SPELL IT!) she feels sick all the time and has no desire to eat. we are all really worried about her. the drs dont seem to have got to the problem. she was ok for awhile but its all come back again. any ideas what it could be? anyone have similar symptons? thank you for any help x

thanks everyone for your comments. she's off to hospital for some more tests so we'll have to see what they find. wish you all well xx

hi, thanks for your reply, she has'nt got eating problem, she always had goodfood habits until now. she tries to eat has much as she can but its hard when you feel sick i guess. shes having more blood tests this week and then if that does'nt shine any light on it back to the hospital. thanks crystaly xx

Is there anything else you can tell us about her? Take her to the emergency room. Tell them your not leaving until you get answers. Sometimes you have to be agressive.

I hope she gets some results from the hospital. The loss of that much weight is quite serious I think. Glad you didn't take offence re question of eating disorder. Take care Chrisxx

Thats an awful lot of weight loss.   No offence intended but has your friend got an eating disorder? She needs to eat even if shes not hungry for obvious reasons or else she will lose weight and also become very ill. There are plenty of other foods besides dairy products she should try and eat some of these if she can. If she can't I would suggest she goes back to her Dr immediately. Sorry I can't think of anything else really. Hope she finds a solution soon . Take care C
