4th Stage Lunge Adenocarcinoma

Hi,
My father-in-law has been detected with 4th stage Lung Adenocarcinoma, June, this year. He is having a history of tobacco chewing. PET-CT and CT scan suggested that the cancer has spread to lymphnodes and some part of abdomen. He completed his 2 rounds of chemotherapy with Carboplatin and Premetrexed. Initially, he was having headache but now he is completely fine and totally symptomless. LFT after 1st chemotherapy showed 141 U/L of serum alkaline phosphatase, but his blood count is absolutely normal. Can we hope that he has the chances of recovery.
