I'm sorry you've been being ignored when you bring this pain up on your doctor visits.
I would guess it might be a musculoskeletal issue, as you mention a positional posture (standing) and activity when it comes on.
Another guess would be a shifting of a gas pocket with standing to a place where it hurts, and gas pockets can be extremely painful. For this theory, you might try Gas-X/simethicone and doing the knee chest and see if it you get any relief after a while.
A cyst can surely cause a lot of pain also, and I would venture to guess it not outside the realm of possibility that a shift in position could cause a cyst to shift and start pressing on some structure in your abdomen whereas it might not bother you sitting down.
I found myself, when I had my worst cysts ( a torqued hemorrhagic ovarian cyst and a 'chocolate' cyst/endometrioma), the pain was constant, though in the case of the former, earlier on with that cyst, the pain was worse with certain positioning.
May I offer a suggestion? If you schedule a visit with just that lone problem of your abdominal pain on the docket for the doctor's attention, they should find it impossible to ignore it.
Stomach pain can be caused by many things, too many to list here. Next time you see your doctor, SAY you have stomach problems that are bothersome AND that you would like him to examine it. Maybe then he will pay attention. Blessings - Blu
