My brother went through this- It may some kind of ulcer. You really must tell your mother and go to the dr. If it hurts- thats reason enough to tell mom. It is pretty common so don't be too self conscience. My brother had to get his sore drained and wear a maxi pad for awhile. I teased him because he was using up all my maxi pads. We had lots of laughs about it at his expense but we are close so it was ok. I am not a dr, but your problem sounds close to his. Men have hairy booties which can cause problems due to ingrown hairs, heat can also be a problem, & being over weight may cause it. You should really tell your mom soon, I cannot be sure that this is what is wrong. I didn't wanna leave you hanging if this is keeping you awake- Hopefully this "booty call" helped you get a quick explaination.
Thanks a ton for the advice i plan on talking to my mom ASAP
This sounds like a pilonidal cyst.
You can do a google search for information.
You may be able to treat this yourself with hot compresses, as often as possible.
If it doesn't improve in a couple days after numerous hot compresses, your mom may want to take you to your family doctor.
Directions for hot compresses:
Wring out a thick washcloth or a small towel (like a dish towel) in hot water, fold, and apply to area.
When it cools, refold to a new hot surface, and apply again.
Wring out again in hot water (you may want to fill the bathroom sink with hot water for this) and repeat.
When I was in nursing, we did this for 20 or 30 minutes at a time, every two hours.
This does get tiresome when you're doing it yourself, so even 5 minutes every hour can be very helpful to increase bloodflow to the area. Increased bloodflow means more white blood cells to attack the bacteria, and more red blood cells for oxygen and nutrients to heal the wound.
I've seen boils and other infections clear up dramatically with this simple treatment.
If the drainage is bothersome, you can cover with a gauze pad (taped in place) or a large size bandaid.
Self adhesive maxi pads that you can attach to your underwear would also absorb the drainage.
Check the drugstore for these supplies, or even grocery stores carry them.
