Carbon Monoxide

Does carbon monoxide cause nose bleeds?
How long does it take for carbon monoxide to come out of your blood?

On July 12, 2007 is had an Arterial blood gas test done and there were higher than normal levels of carbon monoxide in my blood.  I was work at a Auto Auction and started August 1, 2006.  Around December of 2006 I started getting sick when I went ot work, I worked two days a week and then after I got off work I would go home and sleep for hours and days.  I would have a headache, nauses, blurred vision, chest pains, nose bleeds (sometimes), etc,  It was not until June 11, 2007 that I told my husband what was going on.  I also told my employer and they just said it was my imagation.

I did have an ABG test and it showed up to have higher than normal levels of CO.  I do have it in my blood and I have had an oxygen treatment.  My doctor did say that it is for the CO to enter the blood but is harder to get out.  She said it will take 4 - 6 months or longer to be out.  I am just tired of dealing with it!!!!

I would think if you had been exposed that long that the CO would show up in your blood.  You need to get an agressive doctor who will treat you with oxygen if that is indeed what is wrong.

We were suspecting that today so the gas company came out to check out house.  I still think that is what it is but....  good luck to you, keep pushing.
