Could this be an adrenal issue?

My family has a history of rare endocrine issues.  My grandmother is believed to have had pheochromocytoma and my aunt is currently living with medullary thyroid carcinoma. I read there was a link with these. I have been sick for 2 years and have been tested for many things. Most tests came back normal but my 24 hour urine test showed high epeniphrine and norepinephrine. I have severe fatigue, severe dizziness(laying down helps), skin rashes, cold urticaria, severe feelings of anxiety, extreme thirst and urination,  high blood pressure, muscle weakness(mostly in my legs), dark spots on my skin(was told it was melasma but it started when i got sick), had episcleritis for 11 months, irregular periods(i went for 6 months without one now i am having one every 2 weeks). Can you tell me if this sounds like a hormonal, specifically adrenal, issue? Thank you for taking time to read this! PS I had a blood cortisol test but it was done at 2pm. I have heard that this is not an accurate time for that test.

There is a condition called MEA syndrome where endocrine tumors run in families. What you describe possibly  seems to fit.

A CT of the abdomen might be a good idea to get a look at the adrenals.

Thanks.  I have been to many doctors but they were looking for auto immune. The one endo I saw found out that I had elevated adrenaline and noradrenaline but chose to say that anxiety was causing it.  I know I have anxiety but it is from a physical problem not vice versa. I was always cool and calm until I started having heath issues and quite frankly it scares the hell out of me.  Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Yes, it could well be adrenal, esp with your family history.

To a doc ASAP!!!!

Adrenals can reek havoc! It is best to get a saliva test for cortisol. I have never had this but consists of testing 4 times at certain times of the day. This is more accurate than a blood test! I will look for a link to order the at home kit and post later. If you can not do the saliva test a blood test should be done between 8-10 am
