Discoloration and blotching on extremeties

I have blotching on my extremeties especially on my legs that will only go away with elevation. I have had a venous doppler done, an ekg, stress echo which have all come back negative. I have seen 3 different doctors none of which can determine what the cause is. I don't have any pain and is worse with sitting and standing. It is not as bad on my arms and does not change with the tempature (hot or cold). I have been exercising and that does not help it and I have good pulses in both my feet. Please help...I have no clue

I also have blotches on my arms and legs.  It looks like I am cold all the time.  Went to a dermatologist and he said it was a form of eczema.  It doesnt itch or hurt...its just there.  And now that you have said something I have to noticed that it gets worse when I am standing or sitting for a long time.  I have varicose veins and spider veins I am thinking it has something to do with circulation.  But then why do I have them on my arms.  I thought I might have damaged my skin in a tanning booth but who knows.  If you have any ideas or information that would be great.  Good luck to you also with your skin issue.

I had bad blotchy discoloration on one leg from knee down after an injury.Diagnosed with RSD(reflex sympathetic dystrophy. It
doesn't always cause pain or numbness & not always after an injury.types of this disease can spread up your body.
Its where the sympathetic nerves aren't working right.
3 docs told me nothing could be done.I found great doc,did therapy &got it in remission state, then did a nerve release surgery.Leg is good now.
            hope this helps

Look up "hyperpigmentation", although that is usually blotchy spots that stay and stay no matter what you do. It sounds like a circulation/neurological issue, possibly.

The liver panel will look for all kinds of things, but I'm not sure how useful it would be. Endocrine functions might be more useful. Or exploring different kinds of peripheral neuropathies.

You didn't mention if it was a recent problem, or one you've had all your life?

Or if the blotchiness was even in appearance all over,
or only in a few big random spots?

Sorry didn't answer your other question. It is all over my legs but more noticeable from the knees down and my forearms  but it does not occur on my arms as often as my legs.

It started about a year or so ago. Sometimes it is more prominent that other times. It looks like modeling as if were vascular but disappears with elevation. And I have good pulses and no pain.

I had a CBC done but not a liver panel. Any ideas of what to look for?

Have you had your liver checked out? I'd get a CBC and have them do a hepatic panel if you havent already done so.
