Dizzy, Nausea, IBS, Dry/Watery Eyes, Hot/Cold Flashes...

Frequent Urination, tired.

I am 26 (F) I have had indigestion and bowel problems for so long...I am currently taking Prilosec twice a day and have been for three months to help with the indigestion.  I have gone to the doctors so many times and everything comes back normal.  I went in for the bowel problems and did stool samples which came back normal.  I just went in on Monday because I had severe stomach pain just above my grion that when it happens makes me have to pee really bad and it hurts like crazy.  I think that make have been kidney stones, but the doctor only did a pap to make sure it wasn't ovarian cysts and told me to follow up on a colonoscopy I should have.

In addition I have been feeling dizzy (and also like I am in a fog) and nauseous with suddent fatigue for a few weeks and sudden urge to pee (and when I do 20 minutes later I have to pee again and still a lot).  I also get dry and watery eyes (but I did have lasik a few years ago).  Then I also feel very thirsty and my lips feel dry.

The DR on Monday (OBGYN) diagnosed me with IBS, even though the Gastro DR didn't.  Hmmm...

So I am scared, I don't know what is wrong with me and I don't like feeling this way...every test I do just comes back normal.

Anyone have similar symptoms?

Thanks!

I went to urgent care yesterday because I was dizzy and very tired and this happens after I eat as well as shortness of breath and a tight chest.  So I have to go back to have my glucose tested and to get my chest tested.

Then the doctor said maybe this is all stress related and suggested I look into anti-depressants.  That kind of pissed me off because I fee like they haven't done enough tests to just decide it's best to medicate me.

He did tell me I didn't have kidney stones so now I don't know what was causing my pelvic pain.

I guess I have to think about what to do...

My body temp is low also, I have been checking it in case I was getting an infection and it's normally around 97.5 also, that is what it was on Wed.

Well plz dont give up,  I dont get a fever with my infections until I'm very very sick, I generally have a body temp of 97.5F which is below normal slightly, so they never think I have a fever..If u gotta push these doctors to get the tests, then do it,  I'm glad you know your body and know somethings wrong! Hopefully we both figure this out and get on the road to recovery, good luck and thanks for keeping us updated

Hello Kindd and Littleflwr,

I have not been tested for Diabetes, but it doesn't run in the family.  I didn't get a scan or ultrasound test done, when I went to the OBGYN she had the machine there and said it wasn't necessary.  She did a pap test and a urine test.  Everything in the urine test came back negative or normal, the only thing not to come back was the microscopic tests which looks for crystals to indicate kidney stones.  I sent an e-mail to the doctor to find out about those tests, but I have not heard back.

They thought I had ovarian cysts and I was told I did five years ago when I first got the stomach pain.  Now I am not so sure that's what it was.  I do think I had kidney stones.  Even now I can feel pressure at my waist in my side/back like I may be getting more.  I still need to have tests done.  I am concerened about infection, but I don't have a fever.

I am sorry that you are ill and I wish you luck!

I will let you all know if I find out anyting more, thanks for listening.

Hello,

There are a few possibilities which need to be ruled out.First is diabetes mellitus.Pls get your blood sugar levels estimated be fasting blood sugar levels or by oral GTT.The other possibilities are Sjogren’s syndrome((an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva) and IBD(as the doctors have mentioned)

Did you get an ultrasound or CT abdomen done?Kidney stones and other problems gastrointestinal pathologies are confirmed after that.Ibd can be confirmed after colonoscopy.

I feel that you discuss these options with your doctor and get colonoscopy done. Then only,a confirmatory diagnosis can be made.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
