Extreme discomfort in chest

I am 18 an year old female and for the past week or two, I have been having chest pains in both the left and right sides of my chest. Along with the pain, there is a tightness and pressure within my chest and it is very uncomfortable. Yesterday, my heart began beating very fast and very hard. This feeling is very uncomfortable and will not subside. Are these signs of a heart attack or heart condition?? And if so, what should I do? I also have severe gas problems and wanted to know if gas could be causing my problems and how I can get rid of gas

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Take probiotics, yoghurt, curd, Omeprazole (empty stomach in the morning) and avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy oily food. Generally pain on both sides is due to gas and not heart condition. However if this does not help, get a 12 lead EKG done.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!

Thank you so much... I follwed your advice and the pain has subsided.. so Im not worried anymore. If it comes back I'll be sure to get an EKG done. But for now, everything is better.

Thank you!
