Falling down

My 31 year old daughter has fallen 4 times in the past day.  She claims that the reason for the first fall was her shoes..and we all know how clunky the shoes are now..anyway...She sprain her foot after the first fall and it is doing better at the present, but she has fallen three times since...also claiming that it is the shoes...flat shoes.  I am a nursing student at the present and all this has me worried. She is always in a hurry with her work and her 9 and 2 year old, but still if it is her shoes that will put my mind to rest...but if there is a underlying cause for this what are some of the causes?  She is about 50 pounds over weight...no HP...she did have a fall 3 years ago down a flight of stairs and received a concussion..Please let me know, just going on this, what are the potential causes other than shoes.
Thank you

She could have some balance problems.  If she has a tendancy to lean a certain way when walking her hips could be out of alignment.  I would almost fall over just walking along a street in sandals.... got my hips adjusted and was back on track.
