Found a lump this morning in breast

Ok ya'll I woke up this morning and found a lump on my right breast right beside on my nipple. It is the size of a pee to a marble. It is painful only if squeezed and moves around slightly. There is no dimpling. It is not deep into the skin it seems to be toward the top of my breast. Any guidance would be appreciated. Some of you know my other issues and what I have been through with trying to diagnosis hives, swelling and joint pain. I could not get on the breast cancer forum they were full. Sorry to post here bur terribly worried. Beast cancer does not run in my family however I have lost all other family members to some form of cancer. I'm 41 years old.

Doctor said he did not think the knot was anything. He did say it is much deeper than I thought. He put pressure on it from a differ point than I. They are going to schedule me today for an appointment for mamo, ultrasound and possibly biopsy. Said around here it may take 1 to 1 1/2 weeks for the apppt. This is totally stressing me out. I am a big chicken. Was supposed to take kids on vacation next week but now I don't know if I will or not. I will keep you posted.

I guess the reason I so worried is that I have a friend who found a lump 3 months ago. Doctor told her it didn't look like anything even though she had the whole dimpling thing and all. Well, it was cancer. It had spread into her lymps (12 of 14 tested). They removed the lump. Then the whole breast. Now Chemo. She is devistated. 49 yrs old.

Yes I can sort of roll it around. Strange I keep messing with it yesterday and it seems like there is more than one. But the one is more distinct, round and harder. Wonder how many lumps women get when you have breast cancer. Can you have more than one? Another question. Wouldn't it be better to just get it cut out than to let them remove fluid with a syringe and take a chance on fuild from it leaking into my body? Could some of the fuild leak out? Does anyone know? Where do I start my GP or Gy? I guess if I haven't heard from anyone this morning I'll go to who can see me first.

I have 3 cysts in my left breast that can be painful.  The first time the Radiologist saw them at my mammogram, I had an ultrasound "just to check them out".  Now, when I go for my regular mamms., if they haven't changed in size and aren't terribly painful, they are left alone and I don't have to have an ultrasound.  Have the lump checked out.

Go to the doctor.  My doctor said the worrisome lumps are attached to the chest wall ie if you can pick it up and roll it a bit then it is less of a worry.

The doctor will know for sure.  Good luck.

Hi Bonnie, Go and see your Gp and get it checked out. Ive got a lump just near my nipple at the moment but you can pick it up in the skin if you know what I mean. My gps looked at it and said its a cyst but to just keep an eye on it. Hope all goes well Take care XX Chris

Hey, I know that can be really scarry.  I had one myself in 1998 and had to have a lumpectomy...it was a cyst but mine was deeper into the tissue - that was real reason for removing it.  I would call my doc first thing in the AM - tell the receptionist you found a lump in your breast...most doc's will try to fit you in for this.  My doc saw me the same day but I had to wait a while.  If it is sore, try some warm, moist compresses on it - it will help that.  I hope that everything turns out ok.  I just wanted you to know that I have been there and I know you are worried - rightly so - and can't help but be.  Please keep us posted.  Take care.
