Headaches and gastrointestinal issues

I'm in day three of a bad headache. I've had these type headaches before and am assuming it's a tension headache. It starts in the back and moves around to the front and affects my eyes (my eyes hurt). It feels like my head is in a vice grip. I have no energy.
I've gone to the doctor a couple of times over the last year or so about these headaches but for the most part try to just deal with them myself. Back in October they did a CAT scan and everything looked fine so I just try and deal with these myself when they happen. Fortunately, it doesn't happen all the time but when it does I'm indisposed and can barely funtion.
This time feels different in that I have nausea and diarhea along with the headache. I've lost 2 pounds in the last few days since this started. I don't think I'm sick because I have no fever. I try to eat but get full fast.  I'm wondering if the gastrointestinal issues can be associated with the headache or if I have something else going on and if I should get seen again. I do have IBD but it hasn't been too bad. I had one bowel obstruction back in 2007 that was taken care of and I've been in pretty good shape since then. I'm wondering if I'm having some sort of flare up or if this all could just be related to the headache and if I should just try and ride this out or get seen.
Can gastrointestinal issues go along with headaches? Or does it sound like two different issues?

It could be environmental. Perhaps you can ask your doctor to test you for toxins, such as molds and heavy metals.  Dr. Shoemaker has a lot to say about mold toxicity and "sick building syndrome."  www.survivingmold.com

You could also be reacting to some kind of chemical in the house.  Chemical sensitivities have been observed in reaction to carpets, drywall, and many other construction and finishing materials.  The hard part is figuring out what. It can take a process of elimination to figure out the cause.

Sometimes a yeast problem develops when the system is out of balance. You can look up more about yeast online and in articles about a book called The Candida Diet.

The nausea could also be connected to the terrible headaches.  I have had only a couple migraines in my life, and both involved nausea, one left me vomiting.  Have you seen a neurologist before?

I'm starting to think my house might be making me sick. My daughter has had similar symptoms this week and this is the first full week we've both have been home in a long time. (Not working right now).
