Questionable MS, RSD. Can 1 Brain lesion be causing all of my problems?

I had been treated for MS for 13 years, but now think I was misdiagosed.  I have had one big lesion on the right side of my brain and have had no others appear.  There are none in my spine either.  I have had Abnormal EEG's and was told that it was not quite seizures, but that there was " Misfiring" all over my brain.  I have had multiple symptoms, some which could be from that lesion, some that don't seem that they would.  I have gone through multiple " attacks " with remissions over 13 years. I have had severe fatigue, bladder problems, choking attacks, plus a " stricture? " in my esophagus.  I had 2 attacks of this so far, one just about 6 mos. ago.  I was also diagosed with RSD of my left foot and leg about 3 years ago, which I went through 5 spinal blocks to correct.  However, the pain still remains.  I still get buring, stinging, tingling, numbness and weakness from my hip down, with my foot having the most pain.  My newest doc, from Harvard, is looking into this, but he said some things that I don't understand.  He said I have a huge brain that is not leaving enough room for something, I didn't quite catch what word he used. He also said that the lesion is right near the sensory area that controls pain etc, and also the motor section.  He said that there are some other virus's that can cause damage like this other than MS, but I can't find any online.  What else could it be besides MS? I have hit my head twice & was electrocuted.  Any connection? What's with the big brain?  Anyone ever hear of any of this stuff? Thank you

I was really sick for quite some time.  I was diagnosed with cronic fatique, ibs, fibermialga, and many other things.  A year later turns out it was Lyme Diease!  I am doing much better but I had to go off the antibotics.  I thought I was going to die from it.  It was the most painful thing I had ever gone through.  Years later I realize that I didn't catch it from a tick I got it from masquitos because my best friend has been sick for just as long but the doctors told her she had something else.  Now my little sister has RSD and is sick alot.  When she has an infection, like a cut or something it takes months to heal.  I keep on telling my parents to get her tested for Lyme but they roll there eyes at me and wont listen.  What do I do!

One question about Lyme disease.  Is it that common.  Sounds like from posts and looking up on the net its somewhat common.  But I looked at stats in Indiana and theres only been about 180 cases.  How many goes undiagnosed, unreported I dont know.  Seems like there would be more then that though.  I know region to region can affect severity, but I know Indiana has a big deer population problem and that ticks are prevalent, yet not very many cases of Lyme.

I've read alot on this forum in the last few weeks, with people, including myself, that have these type of problems.  From what I gather, Lyme Disease mimicks MS and leaves scaring on the brain.  Carol in PA, has posted alot on here, regarding Lymes.  My grandmother was diagnosed with Dieases of Demyelination when she was 60 years old, her neuro told her that they don't call it Ms in people her age, Not sure why.  My grandmother is no longer around, she passed 2 1/2 years ago.  I wonder everyday since reading these posts if maybe she didn't actually have Lymes.  Her symptoms were all left sided, numbness in arm, she drug her left leg, and had extreme fatique and bowel problems. She died when she was 79, beeing she had it for 19 years, hers did not ever go into remission, she had this all the time, which is why I wonder, but everything that I've read on Ms, everyone is different, Doc told her her's was RRMS, but it never went into remissions.  Hope you get the answers that your seeking.
