Im 23,i had the non-hormonal coil removed mid year this year after 3 years of constant thrush and found out it has been inserted wrong!id never had thrush before and have not had it since so that tells me that the iud was causing it.i also had excruciating pain in the lower abdomen around a week before being due on that lasted around 15 minutes and felt like i was being stabbed repeatedley.id never had it before but unfortunatley this symptom has continued.around 3-4 months after having it removed we tried for our second baby (our first was conceived whilst on the pill and using condoms so if anything i would say we are a super fertile couple!) and on the first try i became pregnant.soon after this,i started getting similar pains to those i used to get before being due on that lasted around three weeks and i miscarried shortly after.now, sex is painful and will set off these excruciating pains.im honestly thinking about suing and trying to get this product off the market because you only need to type in iud problems on google and a horde of women have had these similar problems and had it removed almost immediatley, everytime the "proffessionals" exclaiming that the iud has not caused any of these symptoms.if there are any women reading this thinking about getting this contraception STEER CLEAR AT ALL
COST!!!!
it is possible. but it is also possible that now you are older and it just is taking a bit longer.it could be that your ovulation schedule is a little different than you think and maybe you are having sex on the wrong days. i would recommend having sex every other day, all month long.
if this goes on for more than 6 month that you cannot get pregnant, i would see your doctor
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Any IUD causes a change in uterine lining (which is reversible) and can cause infection, both of which can affect the fertility. Hence you have to wait for 2-3 months for the uterine lining to normalize, and ovulation to normalize without the effect of IUD, before you can think of conceiving. If this time has passed and you have been trying for a few months after that, then consult your gynecologist. Take care!
