I am headed to the DR. tommorrow and I have no idea how to describe how i feel.

I have a dr's appointment tommorrow and i have no idea how to describe my problems without coming off like a nuerotic mess. i have talked to my psychiatrist several times and they have instructed me to go to the DR. I just hope they don't pawn it off as anxiety and keep the bill down because i am disabled and have no insurance. My main issue is my eyes and head. Everything looks strange my eyes feel pressurized all the time like i am trying to stare 100 miles and everything feels so far away from me. My head feels full of lead kind of. You know that feeling when you bend over and raise up to fast and you feel a bit off balance. I feel mainly like that all the time when i am in a big building or outdoors were i may be looking far away. I saw my opthalmologist a month ago all was well and my prescription was about the same. Second problem is my right side is mainly weak. i have had a stroke test a chest xray lungs and an ER bloodwork it all came up normal. It is unbearable, it really is. I get weak very weak just walking. And the right side of my throat has been sore for months even though i took prilosec for heartburn just in case (didn't work). i wake up every morning like I am swollen and even more offblanace than ever with joints popping and muscles not working right. I am on 1 mg of xanax 3 times a day and will begin a taper soon. Any suggestions on what it may be or what i should say to keep from coming off as a lunatic. It is much worse in person because my mind will fuddle things up so when i am at the DR i will pretty much be a mess :) TY for the help.

Its been so long and i have felt so bad so long all the time has run together i am not sure if i felt this way before Rose. I had an H1ac test run testosterone and thyroid. Then a ct with dye (that sucked). The CT was fine the Hemo test showed i was pre diabetic and the testosterone showed i was at 219. I am 29. I have been on a diabetic diet since before the tests. My biggest issue is that i feel flush walking around. Almost like my eyes and mind are unable to keep up with me or a car etc. And my right side feels so weak and tense. Its unbearable. I dunno what to do. It took a full months pay just to get those last tests run. And they didnt even acknowledge the alternatives to right side weakness.

How long have you been on xanax,  Moose?  These symptoms sound vaguely like side effects of that drug - did it start after taking xanax?

Sadly, no there aren't any programs. i live in a very unpopulated part of Arkansas. The health care here is mainly for the healthy with the occasional broken arm type place. We have Memphis Tennessee not too far away but I am sure I would have to be a Tenn resident to get their help.

I had to go to alot of different doctors to rule out alot of different things before they told me I had fibromyalgia and I think thats only cause nothing else showed up.There are alot of things that it could be.I would asked to be referred to an ears nose throat and if nothing shows up then to a neurologist. Is there any programs where you live for medical that you can apply for?

Hey Moose!
Before you see your doctor today!  Print your post or write down exactly what you asked here.  Also, make a list of tests you have had and what has already been ruled out. because there isn't enough time to suggest anything...see what the doc has to say. BUT...write down your question here and also write down questions you want to ask your doctor!  Be specific and ask doc to explain his/her answer if you don't clearly understand them.
Good luck to you!!!
