Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
There is a possibility that you are empty stomach in the morning which could be causing hypoglycemia or low blood sugar or acidity. If you have morning coffee or tea, then this can also precipitate acidity. Other than this it can be difficulty to breathe due to hot shower. Reduce the temperature and see. Eat something at least an hour before the shower.
Low blood pressure is another possibility. Water entering the ear can also cause you to feel dizzy.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP to run tests and examination to clinch a diagnosis.
Take care!
i like jollyranchers answer. please go to the doctor and tell them that your having this issue. it may be a simple fix but please dont wait because not only could your problem get worse but you could potentially fall and hurt yourself really bad.
Your light headedness is most likely caused by low blood pressure. It is common among young females. You should probably ask your doctor about this and get your pressure measured.
When you get up in the morning and the body´s position changes from horizontal to vertical it needs to increase the blood pressure in order for the blood to make it from the heart up to the head fast enough. The brain needs constant blood flow and if it does not get enough you are quick to feel it. If you have low blood pressure to begin with, your pressure may fall so much when you get up fast from a lying position that you feel light headed, see stars or just black and may even pass out. The body usually corrects the pressure very fast but it may help to get up more slowly, maybe sit on the bed for a few seconds to a minute before standing up to give the body a little time to adjust.
As you suggested yourself, it may help to take less warm showers as the heat causes the capillaries in the skin to dilate, which again causes the blood pressure to fall.
