I suspect someone I know has been poisioned

I suspect someone I know has been poisioned.  Unfortunately, this person has years of mental problems, and alot of her symptoms are being ignored by her physicians and some family members due to her mental illness.  For instance, some time ago, she would vomit almost daily and began eating certain types of food to prevent it.  I demanded her reluctant husband to take her to the doctor, this was not normal even if she was on depression medication.  After a few tests, the doctor never explained why exactly this was happening, but she was in the hospital for three days.  Her vomit had blood in it.  Since then, her husband has been very guarded of me and my constant "interfering".

However, I can't dismiss the fact that she is acting unusual and not thinking clearly. She explained that her husband brought home a "free box" of detergent from work, a chemical plant, that smelled terrible. He insisted that she try it with only her clothes, but after trying it once she threw it out because of the oder.  This does not sound like detergent to me.

I suspect that she is being poisioned due to her declining mental state.  The authorities in my area think that I am over reacting and without "proof" they are not going to look into this.  My question is, how do I get proof?  What type of specific tests does she need, and what do I ask her doctor's to look for?  I appreciate any help, thanks.

Hello,

It is fortunate for that woman, that you are trying to get some help for her.If you suspect that she is being poisoned, pls take her to a doctor /toxicologist and get her blood, urine ,vomit, saliva, gastric contents and skin scrapings analysed quantatively as well as qualitatively by physical examination, color tests, chromatography, electrophoresis and DNA sampling .

You can also take the suspected detergent like substance and get it chemically tested from a lab to see what are the constituents of the substance.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

Wow, this must be very frustrating to you, but lucky for this woman you have your eye on her and likely will save her life if what you think is true. Is there any way at all you could or she could get some of that apparent 'detergent' for proof? Or a piece of clothing washed in it maybe,  they may be able to get a trace off of that? Its also very suspicious that he happens to work at a chemical plant as u said, and from what you wrote I honestly think your instincts are right here. I think the tests are called a toxicology report to look for things like that, I wish I could offer more help to you..you are a very good person for caring and I respect that very much,  take care and know we're all here to support you.
