Is metronidazole causing my problems?

I completed my last dose of metronidazole 4 days ago and also took fluconazole after completion. I noticed a yellow tint on both sides of my tongue the Friday I completed the last pill and took the fluconazole. I was instructed to take metronidazole 2times daily for 7 days. During the time taking it i experienced pain in muscles, jaw pain, headaches, dizziness, sweating, pebble like stool... and now even though I have completed the antibiotics I have been experiencing some of the same symptoms along with hives/welts here and there on my arms, legs, forehead really all over my body. I am having a heartburn like feeling when i swallow and my ears also itch inside when i swallow... I am also waking up to sweaty thighs and sweat stains on my sheets. My fingers and hands hurt and look swollen... I took an hiv test 2 weeks ago after having unprotected sex April 21... here it is May 22 and I’m not sure if my problems are due to the medication or to the fact that i may have hiv/AIDS which is my biggest fear. Please help.

Hello~It sounds like you are having a reaction to the meds, I would certainly call the pharmacist and tell him what is going on and ask if this could be an allergic reaction. You also need to call your GP and advise him/her of what is transpiring.
