could it be anxiety or something worse?

About 3 months ago, I suffered a strange attack of sorts. I was just sitting down with friends and all of a sudden I felt really weird. At first it started sort of like an anxiety attack but then turned ugly. I felt lightheaded, got really sweaty, a little bit of nausea. It kept getting worse and worse, after a few minutes of building I got a clammy pins and needles feeling over my whole body, super super intense, worse than when a limb falls asleep. Then I lost my vision and was on the verge of passing out. This lasted about 5 more minutes and then everything slowly started getting better. Went to the ER but they didnt really offer much help, did some blood test and monitored my heart but said it looked fine. Since then I have had a constant mild headache, but its not a normal headache, its just in certain areas of my brain. It is hard to describe, sort of like a dull pressure with spikes of stabbing pain every now and then. It has been months and it is still there and it really affects my sleep, because it is worse at night and causes me anxiety which then won't let me sleep. I just get really scared that it is something serious. Last night and currently it has been worse than usual, I would love to get an MRI but I have no insurance and no job. I might go to the doctor later, which would be the third time since this all started.

thanks for the suggestions, just wanted to add that the only symptom that is still around is the constant headache. That and the anxiety that it gives me because I know my head should not feel like this for so long.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It can be an anxiety and panic attack. If you are young and with no serious problem, then this could either be due to low blood sugar or hypoglycemia—if you had not eaten for long or it could be due to taking too much coffee. Acidity could be the other cause. Also if you had not slept in the last 24 hours, then this could even be due to sleep fatigue.
If all these are ruled out then you need to get examined to rule out a few things such as low blood pressure, postural hypotension (fall in blood pressure, cervical spinal nerve compression, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), severe anemia, an underactive thyroid (called hypothyroidism), overactive thyroid (called hyperthyroidism), adrenal insufficiency (called Addison's disease), and internal ear infections.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!

there are many things this could be 1 a really bad panic attack 2 a seizure they can happen when your fully awake and aware 3 a severe migraine you can find a local clinic to go to and they can give you a referral for an mri the payment at a clinic is on a pay scale so it will cost very little if it happens again go back to the ER
