Sweating and swelling

My 13 year old daughter is swelling in her hands and feet very bad! Her finger tips are turning blue and she says it hurts in the palm of her hand. Her feet when swelled burns whens she walks. She's had a sweating problem for awhile now and takes Oxybutynin Chloride 5mg x 3 a day. Even though the med had been controlling the sweating, she's sweating very bad. She's freezing cold and then the next minute she's hot. She's very tired and weak. Her thyroid has been checked & it was ok. It's the weekend and not sure if going to an urgent care would help. It sounds complex. Please help!

First round of test came back normal! They drew more blood yesterday and we have to keep all her urine Sunday and take it into the Dr office Monday morning, so they can check her kidney function. Her Dr took this very seriously and is really checking her over good! She seems to be doing better since being off the sweat medication, except that she's sweating, but we are using some Drysol deo and will consider the botox. The botox is what I originally wanted for her but the Dr thought she was too young. Thank you so much for all your answers and concerns! When I get test results I'll be sure and post it. :)

Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) is controlled with botox now days.  She may need to see an endocrinologist.  Raynaud's  causes blue hands and feet.

I am so sorry your daughter is going through this. Have you tried doing some research online. Maybe it's due to her harmones changing. She is at that age. I am not a doctor. This is just what came to mind maybe something that could control her harmones would help. I am so glad she has such a loving mom. I will be praying for her. Keep us informed.

May god be with ya,
Kimberly

Thank you all! We are suspicious that she has developed an allergy to her medication. We haven't given it to her since Sat night & she is doing better. I am currently waiting on her Dermatologist to call me back. Bad thing is this was her med for her sweating problem. For the last few years she has sweated severely, just puddles come off her hands, feet, & underarms. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I'm all ears!

I am no doctor and that is probably where you need up be becuase your daughter is so young. But have you tried ice packs, and pain killers such as ibprophens. Also try looking up pressure points. Just please if she becomes to gas take her to a doctor. Cuase it sounds like it could be severe. Maybe even an infection. Does she have a fever? If so and it seems high that should b a red light that she needs to go. I am praying for her.

This needs to be assessed by a physician. As a trainer, some of this sounds like exercise intolerance. If a person is used to a sedentary lifestyle, and suddenly starts exercising, they will notice profuse sweating, and edema in the hands and feet. I would start slowly, and work up to a walk, then to a run-walk, then to jogging... Begin with simple stabilization exercises. Balancing, short walks, etc, and speak to a trainer, and a dietitian. Often swelling, and temperature variations (Hot Flashes) can be the result of diet. Drink plenty of WATER!! NO SODA, SWEET TEA, or anything Manufactured! She should stabilize after a few weeks, and the edema will go away. I am however, not a Doc. You MUST HAVE HER UNDERGO A FULL PHYSICAL to rule out any cardiac issues! I hope this helps!
