Lymph nodes aching when tired

Hi I know I keep posting but no answers and I am getting discouraged.  I am not a complainer but have so many symptoms and expected the Dr to have answers, so far no luck.  A Dr. friend suggested that I keep a journal for my next appointment as things seem to come and go and I forget to mention them.  I started it yesterday and at supper time I wrote I had a pain in the right side beside my navel and my groin and under my arm ached.  I never added the groin and arm symtoms but realize I have them when I am tired and after napping, they are better but I am always tired and nap on and off whenever I can. This isn't easy as I am a PE teacher.  The Dr. sent me to a rheumotologist who had me touch my toes and bend my elbows, gave me an antidepressant to sleep at night and no diagnosis.  He said because i wake up so much at night my muscles are always waking up and bothering me as I do not go into a deep sleep.  I am just going to list my symptoms from my journal and pray someone has a clue!  Had a CBC and my ANA was elevated 160 and hemoglobin a bit on the low side, but no one seems concerned.

Fatigue
Neck and shoulders ache and are stiff daily
Feeling something stuck in throat when swallowing-daily
Left arm often feels like being squeezed
Rashes-roscea on face
Foggy head
Feet swelling at night
Joints and muscles ache at night
Wakes up frequently
Lymph nodes in groin and arms ache when tired, sometimes swell
Heartburn
mid back aches in night and morning
pain under ribs when bending over
pain walking upstairs radiates from neck to arm?
Cramps in calves-nightly
Hip pain-nightly

Did he test your gallbladder to see if it is simply non functioning? a hida scan would check it out.  mine quit working; i also had left side pain which was a sponge-y spleen;swelling up.  my lymph also ached x4 wks and i had cold-sweats drenching at night on an off.  what it ended up being was two things; a gallbladder that wasn't working and was quite "ill" before they found it almost went septicemic.  add my thyroid was having thyroiditis; it was inflammed-it was working ok then i started on thyroid medications and it appeared ok on the lab tests; but what was happening was it was working on its own too at times and thus too much hormones then my heart raced -then i was sweating and not feeling too good; queesie and just blah. for ever-finally a endocrinologist put me in the hospital -tested my blood levels every hour for 24 hrs and my urine and did a hida scan -thus all problems were found.  i also had coughing and lungs also quiet inflammed.  don't know if this will help but a good internist-internal medicine doctor should beable to check you from head to toe until they diagnosis you keep going back no matter what they are just humans an unless you stay persistant they will think you are ok

Thank-you.  I am seeing a Dr. Tuesday as mine is away until Novenber.  I waited 3 months to see a specialist and all the rheumotologist did was have me bend my knees elbows and touch my toes.  The appointment lasted 10 minutes.  In our Candian health system he will send his report to my Dr.  I mentioned CFS to my Dr. who said all busy , working Mom's are tired.  I have to take a nap at lunch to make it through the day and then come home and crash.  If I have a Saturday or Sunday at home I basically sleep the day away,  My eyes won't stay open, literally and under my arm and groin just keep aching until I nap.  Not sure what to do as I am not getting any answers.

It all sounds like an inflammatory/autoimmune condition. Of course the key is finding out which one. The positive ANA, although slightly low, you had also seems to point in that direction.

I know before I had my diagnosis, I saw a Neurologist to rule out MS. I saw a Rheumatologist two or three times to rule out other inflammatory conditions and I saw an Immunologist. They ordered tons of labs. I also saw a Naturopathic physician, who really gave me good advice and supplements to take. A Naturopath physician and an Endocrinologist both diagnosed me with CFIDS.

The rash, feet sweeling, all of your pain and that foggy feeling can all go along with fibromyalgia. You may want to consider seeing a physician who has experience with fibro & CFIDS patients. I would also get copies and save all of your medical records and bring them to your appointment so the physician can make sure that all other possible conditions have been ruled out.

yes, I tested twice now for Lyme negeative.  I am most concerned about the lymph nodes and aching when I am tired and do you know what is located in the left back above the kidneys.  It seems to be aching lots in the night and morning and I did vomit once last week, kind of surprised me, but I noticed an immediate releif from the ache.  When i wake in the night it aches and I have heartburn.  Not quite sure what is happening.  I can't see my Dr. again until November.  Any info you may have about what this ache in the back  I would appreciate.

Hi angeljoy,

I understand your frustration. =(  Did your physicians check you for lyme disease? (and just like Santa checking his list twice, they should repeat the test if the first test is negative).

If they have ruled out any & all autoimmune diseases, including MS, I would talk to them about fibromyalgia and CFIDS. For a list of symptoms for CFIDS, go to google.com and type in "Dr. David Bell" + "symptoms of CFIDS".

Keep us posted !
