Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A pinched nerve happens due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, herniated disc, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture, joint deformity, work requiring too much of bending, lifting weight, fall on the back, overweight, etc.
Charley horse is basically a muscle spasm and often in leg muscles. This is often due to low sodium, potassium, magnesium or calcium in the body. Hence serum levels of these electrolytes should also be checked. Dehydration is another frequent cause.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
