See a family doctor to begin with. It may be something simple that he/she can treat. Ive never heard of anything like this. But if physical activity is hurting it, and you have a visible contusion, I would see a doctor to make sure nothing major is going on. If he needs to, he can refer you to a specialist.
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
This is probably due to deep vein thrombosis or atherosclerosis with clot in any artery. Ideally a duplex ultrasound of the area should be done. Pease consult a vascular specialist. If this is ruled out, then a nerve conduction study should be done and possibility of nerve compression ruled out. Take care!
see a neurologist/neurosurgeon- had that for years- only went to one neurologist who blamed it on deperession and sent me to a psychiatrist- had numbness left side- big mistake not pursuing it- condition worsened- had to have spinal surgery.
