Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It could be a strong case of food poisoning, severe acidity or severe gastric reflux or hepatitis. You can take the following steps and see if they help: Take an OTC lactobacillus preparation (probiotics) and yoghurt with your meals. Drink plenty of fluids (clear soups, water, ORS in water, lemonade). Eat light, do not stay hungry but eat simple things like toast, porridge, cereals, crackers, banana, rice, peeled apple, etc. Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). If symptoms do not improve, consult a doctor immediately. Take care!
I don't like the sound of this. I don't like clammy and loss of colour. Please seek some medical advice soon and keep giving him small sips of drinks. Any electrolyte solution is invaluable at these times.
Suggest you seek immediate emergency consultation. This may be a strangulated bowel. Is he vomiting fecal matter? Does he have any direct cardiac pain or referred pain that would suggest cardiac problems?
It could be many things but it sounds just like the time my husband had food poisoning. Did it start just a little bit after he ate anything? Make sure he drinks plenty of water or something with electrolytes. Getting dehydrated will be the worst thing that can happen to him now no matter what is wrong with him. If it gets worse I would take him to the er just in case. My husband didn't want to go and because he got so dehydrated he spent 24 hours in the hospital. Best of luck, hope he gets better.
