Non hodgkins symptoms?

Hi there,

For the past couple of months I've been feeling tired and run down.
Whenever I have alcohol I seem to have aches and pains in my neck.

It causes my nodes to swell - and a large lump behind my ear gets bigger and also one on the back of my head.

I wondered if anyone could shed some light on this please?

Thanks

Sorry you are having these symptoms. Usually, lymph nodes are not painful when you have lymphoma. But one sign of lymphoma that is rare is painful lymph nodes after alcohol consumption. This usually happens within minutes of consuming alcohol. So normally the lymph nodes would be swollen and not painful but then they become painful when you drink alcohol. I don't think the alcohol makes them swell from nothing to a large lump but it might make them get bigger than they are already. Other signs are fatigue, night sweats, fever, unexplained weight loss, back pain, liver and/or spleen enlargement and bleeding easily. I guess it would be best to see your hematologist or other doctor. I hope it is a virus or something else.
