Possible UTI?

Hey, so I think I might have a UTI. I actually think that I've had it for a few weeks now, but when I was tested initially there was nothing to be found. I don't know if that is becdause I drink SO MUCH water that it watered everything down, or if there is something else going on.

It varies in pain and is sharpest at the end of a urination. The pain seems to subside when drink pure cranberry juice and tons of water. It'll go away for a few days but return just as bad as it was originally. I've avoided caffeine, suger, and alcohol, which I know can compound a UTI.

I don't have the money to throwing away on fruitless visits to  doctors' offices, and I'm tired of being in pain. Has anybody had similar occurances?

Is there any itching? I had the same sort of pain with a yeast infection.

Sounds like a UTI to me, too.  If you jump on it as soon as you feel the symptoms, and slug down the cranberry juice (asparagus helps too) you can sometimes nip it in the bud.  Yours sounds fairly entrenched, so you'll need antibiotics.  Go see your doc before it hets into your kidneys.  That is SO not fun, trust me.

I have been there myself and I feel your pain!! Whenever I get UTIs the pain is always really bad at the end of urination. There are over the counter tests that you can get at a drugstore to test for a UTI. I guess it would be cheaper than going to the doctor. But if it turns up clear and you are still in pain I would definitely get checked out bc something else is going on. Good luck!
