Google recall on crest toothpaste.  Then read about polyethylene particals in toothpaste. It's written by a hygienist.  Also
Google mouth sores and toothpaste, many cause canker sores, but AGSIN crest is the most talked about with problem.
My ex hubby would get mouth sores from crest,
Especially the ingredient LAURyl sulfate. Colgate and Rembrandt are familiar for mouth sores. Hope this helps.
I just use plain baking soda. Yea doesn't taste good, but actually scrubbed my teeth nice and smooth, rinse well afterwards.
Baking soda has been used plain for teeth for years.
If you do n t like the taste, dip your tooth brush, in mouth wash FIRST, then dip it in your baking soda, I keep a box of B soda in my B room JUST for brushing.
Don't share the one in your kitchen you use for cooking. Lol.

Hi..just happened across this question as i was looking for my other symptom chat line...but, if you have what i have, it is called "burning mouth syndrome".  you can do a Google search and info will come up.  It is a rare thing.  I have a damaged nerve root in a tooth from injury that is causing my BMS.  It took me 2 years to find this out.  Please let me know if this is what causes your symptoms..i would really be interested to know.  My dentist and my doctor did not know about it...as i said, it is rare.  Okay...hope this helps, as i found it very frustrating, and i finally found an answer...although, there is not much help for it...maybe Gabapentin (nerve med) will help you.  also gargle with antibacterial mouthwash some.

I get canker sores all the time.  I did some research on mine and found out that there is a ingredien called sodium lauryl sulphate in toothpaste that makes them flare up.   I tested it by buying a toothpaste without it and they stopped bothering me.  I also stopped using Listerine and starting using crest clinical moiuthwash and I rarely get them now. As far as your tongue is concerned your dentist would probably have an answer.

Hello,

I believe they are called Cankor sores, I have had them, and yes, they are most painful. I am glad you are seeing a dentist, hopefully, he will be able to help. It appears you are doing all you can to alleviate the pain, etc, I use to use Merthyolate on mine, it helped but did not feel good while using it. Oh, and also, if you are under a lot of stress, these nasty sores can appear, due to too much acid in your body.
