Rheumatic fever with normal blood work ?

Hello everyone.

My problem started about a year ago with a flu-like illness. Most symptoms passed but what remains essentially are various pains around my body.

Also i was told to have no less than 3 echocardiograms during this period. The first was normal, the second had very mild mitral insufficiency and the third showed my left ventricul to be borderline too heavy.

This made me think of rheumatic fever, although my pains aren't only in my joints. Doctors brush this off because i'm too old to have it, but i am only 21 ! Also my blood work does not add up with rheumatic fever. No signs of inflammation in 4 different rounds of tests (crp, sedimention rate,  complete blood count) starting from about 7 to 10 days after onset of symptoms until now. Also normal strep antibodies levels (although 6 to 7 months after onset).

So my question is simple, can it be rheumatic fever with absolutely no blood signs of any infection, inflammation or 'my body attacking itself' for almost a year ? Should i rule this one out ?

Sincere thanks for any thoughts/experiences on this.
