thigh pain after sitting

I had sharp thigh pain at my right leg that started more than a year ago and it usually went away in a few seconds. Recently it became more predictable when walking after sitting, and it last much longer.  Sometimes it took more than 20 minutes of walking or standing to become painless.  The pains is sharp and make walking difficult or impossible.  I can walk, swim, sleep or even sit normally, and the pain starts predictably from sitting to standing.  This pain makes it very difficult for me to drive and to have any activity relating sitting. Please advise.  Thank you.
