Right Supraclavicular Swelling

Hello, I am new to MedHelp and would like some input regarding a swelling that I have over my right supraclavicular area.  The swelling is soft almost feels like fluid and is about the size of a tennis ball.  I initially saw my PCP last June 2016 when I was experiencing headaches over a 3 week period. I also noticed the swelling at that time.  I was told to ice it; which I have been doing ever since. It's now April 2017 and the swelling is still there. Some times I will feel pressure going up the right side of my neck into my ear.  Occasionally, I will feel warm. I saw an endocrinologist last year to check out my thyroid. There was a 9mm x 7mm x 4mm nodule. He performed a FNA on my thyroid - no cancer.  I am concerned about the swelling over my right supraclavicular as I did have right breast cancer in 2010 resulting in 2 lumpectomies; radiation was performed and my mammograms have been clear since then.  What could be the possible cause of the swelling? I am concerned that it could be cancer related.

I'm not a doctor, but, as a hypochondriac, I have done my share of online research. Both the left and the right supraclavicular lymph node tend to be worrisome as they can be indicators of metastatic malignancies. As a general rule, the right node is affected by  conditions and diseases that originate in areas from the bottom of your sternum upward, ie: Lungs, breast, neck, head. The left is generally affected by abdominal malignancies. The right tends to be  affected by more non-cancer conditions than the left, so bare that in mind. Since it is the right side, you have a better chance of it being from an infection or other less serious condition than if it were the left side. However, given your past medical history, you need to rule everything out and not waste too much time. It could certainly just be a random build up of fluids that needs to be drained. Remember, it's your body and not the doctor's. Keep pushing for tests until you get all the correct answers. Good luck. Stay positive.

Thank you DB777. Any suggestions as to which type of specialist I should be seeing?
