Thanks very much for the information. I'll be finding a neurologist and dermatologist right away. It's been a curious journey over the last 10 years since I was burned on my right hand which seemed to start all this auto-immune activity. I was also burned on the upper body and upper arms as a toddler falling onto a fire grate in a park. Your comments help a lot, I prefer to be informed as much as one can before entering the doctor's lair, er...office. I'll keep you posted. Oh! Add to that list of quirks, spasmodic dyphonia, lots of odd neuropathy. I appreciate your time and comments very much.
Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Well, a sympathetic-parasympatheic innervations defect can cause decreased sweating as in your case. Certain peripheral neuropathies like in diabetes, hypothyroidism, and Gullian Barre can also be responsible. Certain skin conditions causing harm or blockage to sweat glands too can cause this problem. History of burns and Sjogren’s syndrome too should be looked into. Please consult a neurologist and a skin specialist.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
