endometriosis question

Okay here goes, GYN gave me birth control to stop ovulation. Not sure if I have endo or not but it looks as though i do and i have a followup US june 20th to see if they have shrunk or something. Now here is the question. IF i have endo am i still supposed to feel the pain eventhough I am stopping ovualation and menstration? I have been in so much pain. if i was to have my period is was supposed to start today but. I am so nauseated and cramping. is this normal? She wont do a lap at the moment to rule out endo. but she will put me on meds for endo,, rrrr i dont know what to do. Does it sound like i have endo if I am still having pain without having periods? I feel myself ovulate am i supposed to? oh well its only been 6 months of not knowing whats 6 more.

I do feel myself ovulate. I get very bad cramps for a few hours. As for the birth control treating the endometriosis, that takes a while to have an effect. The pain should diminish over a few cycles if it is going to help. Usually they do the laproscopy first, then use the birth control to keep it from coming back as fast. You really should get a solid answer as to why she hasn't done the lap. yet.

The gyn said that because i have had prior bowel surgery, almost 20 yrs ago she is afraid to cut into scar tissue and cause internal bleeding. So she wanted to put me on lupron first.  I said well if you are not for sure if it is endo than do the lap that is what i want.  Plus my ca125 is elevated to 78 .  I went to a onc/gyn and he doesnt think that it is cancer but something is inflamed inside.  So endo.   I am textbook endo.  I have no idea why she wont do it.  But i told her i will listen to what she says and do the BC for a month or two and do my follow up ca125 and US to see what happens.  Than if she still wont do it i will find a new doctor.
