Undiagnosed symptoms

Hi.  Im a 23 yr old male.  I've been having weird symptoms lately.  I noticed that my skin is not the usual color that it used to be.  Its a little bit more lighter  or more pale than usual.  I not that if i have got or something it bleed, but there seems to be more fluid than blood.  Also,  a couple of weeks ago i noticed that my stool was a very light, tan-ish color, which is not normal for me.  My stool color is returning back to normal but its still a tan-ish every once in awhile.  I've also noticed that I've gained some weight over past couple of weeks.  I'm a skinny and before this i couldn't gain weight if i tried.  I've had blood work done and that didn't show anything.  I know something going on but know one what it is because nothing is showing up in the blood work.  Do you have any ideas on what this could be?  I was thinking maybe fluid retention, or something along those lines.

Thanks for the reply.  I've had a blood test and a urine test done.  They did not show anything abnormal.  Since the lab work is coming back normal nobody knows what to do.  I started having all of these symptoms after using benzocaine a couple of times.  This was over two months ago.  I know benzocaine is supposed to be quickly absorbed through the system but it has affected me in a different way, unless there was some other chemical mixed in with the benzocaine.  I really don't know what's going on and i work in the medical profession.  I was thinking that its fluid in my skin tissues because it seems like its hard for blood to get through if i have a cut or something.  I also see fluid mixed in with it.  I know what my skin tone looks like, and now it looks lighter than usual.  I am a very allergic person.  I've been too an allergist.  I was allergic to almost everything they tested me for.  I have very bad sinus problems and most of the time my body doesn't respond to medications, like clariton or zyrtec.  I also have eczema, but ever since this has been going on its seem like my skin hasn't been as dry as it to be.  I know all this sounds very weird and that's why its undiagnosed.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Pale skin, with fluid under skin and weight gain can be due to severe anemia with protein deficiency. This results in water retention and subsequent weight gain. You need get the complete blood count done and your hemoglobin and iron level determined by lab tests.
Other causes of pale skin with water retention are a failing heart, serious kidney disease, liver failure, and disorders of adrenal gland. This is something for which you must consult a doctor ASAP, preferably an internal medicine specialist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
