Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since you are feeling eye pressure and seeing flashes of light, stop weight lifting and consult an eye specialist immediately. There are mixed opinions about what activities should be avoided after retinal detachment or in those with a potential of retinal detachment like those with high myopia or those after cataract surgery. Some doctors do ask such patients to avoid diving, sky diving, roller coasters and weight lifting. Please consult your eye specialist ASAP. Take care!
