Worried

About 8 months ago my husband & I were @abar with friends having drinks when all of a sudden he said he didn't feel we'll. next I see his head falling so I ran over ,he was very sweaty kind of in a "dead" stare when I grabbed his arm it was almost Iike  it just fell. They called an ambulance , they immed. Gve him oxygen checked his blood pressure & whisked him to the hospital he was hooked up to a heart monitor  & giving a lot of test . When his blood pressure was stable and heart seemed fine we were sent home .they said it was a reaction to taking blood pressure medicine not eating and drinking alcohol. It was quite a scare.it took him a few days to feel back to normal. Last night he & I went out to dinner, he had been with his friend during the day, had a few drinks and again had not eaten lunch.(he usually eats 3 square meals a day) we went out to dinner & he was fine all of a sudden he said he was light headed and thought he was going to throw up. The waiter helped me get he to the men's room.he was weak. He throw up the dinner he had just eaten and then he said he felt better. We went home he went to bed and felt better today.  Is it the blood pressure medicine mixed with the alcohol and not eating... .??? That's what I say by the way he recently had his physical and everything was good!!

It could be either his blood pressure medication, low blood sugar, or both.  I take blood pressure medication myself and it says right on the bottle not to consume it with alcohol.  Granted, I've never had any problems, but I also usually only have two drinks when I drink and I rarely drink.  However, you mentioned that he hadn't eaten lunch yesterday and was drinking in the evening.  Alcohol lowers your blood sugar, so it could be that his blood sugar is dropping.  I've been told by a doctor that I have hypoglycemia, though, not officially tested, but if my blood sugar gets low I can feel it in my body.  I will get very shaky and just feel "gross" inside, for lack of a better term.  The fact that he feels better later on leads me to believe the alcohol is the culprit, but not sure if it's interfering with the BP meds or blood sugar.  Next time he has some drinks I'd make sure he's eaten regular meals and if it doesn't happen again, it's likely that his blood sugar has been too low recently.

could be he is allergic to alcohol and you should never drink while taking meds

Could be his blood sugar as well, have him get the Dr. to check him ,he could have low blood sugar since he doesn't eat much before drinking this could cause one to feel like he does.
