acid reflux, or some other problem?

I'm 18, and I've never had any problems with indigestion before. Then this week, I started having severe burning in my throat and stomach after I ate, and drank, even if I was just drinking water. At first I tried just drinking some apple cider vinegar in water, since I read it was a natural cure for it, and it did help, for a few hours after a meal. The burning came back later, though, at night, too.

The past 3 days were horrible. I lost my appetite completely and yesterday I had to take one of my mom's Nexium (for acid reflux) to be able to keep any food down at all. I had a fever (pretty mild one, though), a headache, and just generally felt awful. I was also so exhausted and nauseous yesterday I couldn't get out of bed.

I thought maybe I had the flu, but then today I felt pretty much better. Until now. I tried (stupidly, probably) to eat a mildly spicy enchilada dinner, since I hadn't had trouble with anything else I'd eaten today. I have stomach pains and the burning feeling of acid coming up my throat again. I took another Nexium, but so far it hasn't helped and the stomach pain feels worse.

soooo, um, sorry for the really long description, I was just wondering, does this sound like acid reflux, or something else?

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Burning and pain in ‘burning in my throat and stomach after I ate, and drank, even if I was just drinking water’ is usually due to gastric ulcer, severe acidity, gastric reflux, stomach cancer, hiatal hernia or gall stones.
If you have irregular eating hours, or do not eat healthy or are taking any medication like contraceptive pills then it could be severe acidity.
Treatment is a combination of drugs to reduce the acid and lifestyle changes. You are recommended to see a doctor and take medication under a doctor’s supervision.
Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried and spicy food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food.
Please consult a gastroenterologist or your PCP regarding this as a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I have burning problems myself.  I had a endoscopy recently to rule out ulcer, etc..  I have GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).  When I was younger, I had pain in my stomach when I would eat anything and they diagnosed me I think a couple of times with gastritis and had me go on a clear liquid diet for about 72 hours.  You should probably get yourself to a GI doctor.
