blood in saliva

I have recently been experiencing the taste of blood in my mouth.  When I spit out, I am seeing traces of blood.  I had chest x-rays that came out clear.  I saw an ear nose throat doctor who checked my nose and throat and saw nothing except excess mucous.  He prescribed a nasal spray for me.  I have been using it for about two weeks now, and am still seeing and tasting the blood.  I am also experiencing some pressure in my throat.  Any suggestions on who to see or what could be going on?

It seems to me you also might want to get a referral to an gastrointestinal specialist, who might want to do an EGD test to check for bleeding ulcers, acid reflux damage even beyond the throat, etc..

Have you had an ear, nose and throat specialist or gastrointestinal specialist check you for G.E.R.D. (Acid reflux can cause soreness of throat and smokers are at high risk for developing this problem.)

Guys, im the latest to join this group. For the last few years i have been getting sporadic bleeding from my mouth not at the times you would expect it.  My Dentist tells me its gum disease and has referred me to a Gum specialist but when i clean my teeth and washout with mouthwash twice a day, it does not happen very often. Ill suddenly feel a little warmth in my mouth and will have to wash the blood out with up to 4 or 5 rinses of water. It also looks as if the blood is coming from my throat as when i bring up new saliva to see if it has gone there is sometimes more fresh blood with it. My Gp is referring me to an ENT clinic but as you can imagine its very worrying. I have no pain at all just this sudden feeling.

Wow thats crazy because I have major  allergies and sinus problems all the time too! And it always happens in the morning, and before I sleep. Please tell me if it is bad.. Did the doctor say anything bad about it..? or is it just a bother.
