popping chest
is there any kind of condition where someones chest will hurt in the top center and also cause the chest to pop? this has been going on for the past few month and i would like to know what it may be and how serious it could be. and i have not had any kind of trauma to my chest no accidents or hard hits it just started and it is starting to hurt more as time goes on thank you for any help

There are two possibilities—one is costochondritis and the other is GERD/acid reflux/hiatal hernia. It is difficult to comment without examining. Pathological fractures are rare in the region you describe. Please discuss this with your doctor.

As with any type of chest pain I recommend you see your doctor pronto. There is just too many variables with symptoms of heart trouble. Please see your doctor as soon as possible and don't put it off any longer.
